70’s style for you Irish wedding, how much fun would that be!
Hope you are all excited for the weekend, maybe you are getting married, attending a wedding or an excited bride-to-be planning your destination wedding in Ireland! Today we are discussing the very popular and very on trend 70’s wave that is floating up and down the Wild Atlantic Way coastline.
Wild flowers, flower crowns, high waists, empire lines, big lace, long necklaces, bangles, fringing, high necks and wide sleeves – what is not to love.
The important thing is not to get caught up on your body size but instead focus on your body shape. Swap your heels for platforms or sandals, or like the wonderful 70’s style of celebrity make-up artist Kate Noonan’s wedding we worked on in July, have all 3 shoe styes to change into throughout the day. Kate took her inspiration from the fascinating nigh club Studio 54, where Bianca Jagger rode her white horse on the night of her 30th birthday. There were no white horses at Kate’s wedding nor did she follow the nightclub’s famous rule when hosting a party by inviting guests more interesting that her as she was the most interesting guests at her party for sure ( along with her hubby Donal).
Keep those lucious lips pale and skin clear.
Free-spirit, boho and self-expressive are words that were used to describe the 70’s bride, but we know all our West Coast Weddings Ireland brides are every bit as free-spirited and we look forward to hosting many more 70’s wedding in Ireland.
With a host of top make-up artists, Annette O’Brien, Rachel Guiry and Marilyn McSweeney and hair stylists Cathriona Rohan and Nuala Hanley available to create the look. We can also offer a vast range of Ireland’s premium venues that can be styled to suit your 70’s vibe.
