Wedding fashion & trends are changing & evolving all the time which means there are always items moving sideways and new ones coming on trend! Today we highlight this years “7 Wedding Trends Which Are On The Way Out” !
The Photobooth
Couples are creating their own photo wall /photo stations in line with their overall wedding style but still a fun activity for your wedding. A wonderful way for a couple to continue bringing their personality & design into the wedding.
Welcome Bags
While the bags are not on the way out there is now a little more practical element to them. Rather than a bag full of cookies & sweets a souvenier from the area particularly if it is a destination wedding together with a thank you note and itinerary is the new norm and will be appreciated long after your wedding is over! While water can be a welcome addition remember lots of 4 & 5* venues/hotels provide complimentary bottled water.
Converse Sneakers
Paired with formal attire the groom in tuxedo and bride in her couture wedding dresses sneakers are only appearing for the photoshoot . While they can be delightful there are so many other unique ways to show your personality than mis matched footwear!
Flower Crowns
They were gorgeous on beautiful brides and of course in the right setting, but they appear to be taking a back seat for 2017. A good example of how wedding fashion trends come and go.
The Chocolate Fountain
While I thought it was gone two years ago it made a few surprising appearances last year but think they are very close to retirement !
Chair Covers
Are quite passé and have been replaced with an amazing array of chairs which you can hire for your ceremony & reception including Clear Magic, Hannah Jane and Chivari. You will also find that many venues have invested in chic chairs for the reception room themselves so ensure to check them out before hiring!
Rustic And Boho -Theme Weddings
Chalkboard signs, bohemian naked cakes, burlap linens & hanging roses are on their way out. We would be big fans of the couples personalities coming through in their wedding however rustic elements are very often not representative of a couple it is very much an imported theme.
