Everyone could do with help when planning a wedding! You know exactly who to ask and include on your Big Day. If you are unaware of the responsibilities of your bridesmaid or groomsmen, unsure of how they should be dressed? What should you ask of your parents?

Maid of Honour– Your Maid of Honour should match your Bridesmaids, distinguish her style from the others with different hair or accesory.

  • Host or Plan the Hen/Bachelorette Party
  • Help the Bride choose her Wedding Dress
  • Help with Invitations, Decorations etc
  • Act as Witness on the Wedding Day
  • Give a speech- remember not to give away all your secrets!
  • Be an ear and loving support to your best friend

Bridesmaids– Bridesmaids can all dress the same or wear different dresses in one colour.

  • Help with any Pre Wedding duties
  • Should help pan the Hen/Bachelorette Party
  • Sit at the Wedding Party Table and help with Page Boy/ Flower Girl

Best Man– Again, your Best Man should match the Groomsmen but can wear a different accessory like pocket square.

  • Host or Plan the Stag/Bachelor Party
  • Help with Wedding Duties
  • Act as Witness on the Wedding Day
  • Give a speech- this will be the first toast of the evening!
  • Be an ear and loving support to your best friend

Groomsmen- Choosing your best friends as your groomsmen will always be a laugh- have fun picking your suits!

  • Help with any Pre Wedding duties
  • Should help pan the Stag/Bachelor Party

Parents of The Bride– Responsibilities (apart from raising you of course) are to help you plan and enjoy your wedding day! Either parent or both could walk you down the aisle and give a speech at the reception. Traditionally there is a Father and Daughter Dance with The Bride.

Parents of The Groom– The parents of the Groom usually greet the Wedding Guests as they arrive to the ceremony. Traditionally there is a Mother and Son Dance with the Groom at the Reception.
