What to wear for your engagement photo-shoot is a question we are often asked so we thought we would put some examples together for you from engagement photo-shoots that took place on the West Coast of Ireland.
Engagement photographs are not a new trend but until you book your wedding photographer or in fact entered the world of weddings, you may not have been too familiar with the concept. Some couples love the experience and take advantage of the session to get familiar with their wedding photographer but many newly engaged couples avail of this opportunity to announce their impending nuptials.
So what to wear for your engagement photo-shoot? This will be determined by Season, location or the style you would like to set. If you prefer to be more casual or more formal then a change of outfits should be discussed with your photographer in advance.
We talk about the weather all the time in Ireland but this is for a good reason. The weather is so unpredictable that planning anything outdoors is tricky so you have to be open-minded. Always bring a change of shoes, jacket and accessorise with scarves and hats. One minute it could be sunshine and the next could be raining, but the colours that come with this rain is what attracted you to Ireland in the first place!
Add a pop of colour to brighten up any weather conditions.
Don’t leave the shoot too close to your wedding date, book it early so you can use the images if required. If you are having a destination Ireland wedding then we can plan the engagement shoot on the day that you are having your hair and make up trial.
