Why Marry In Ireland? It Was A Love Of The Finer Things!
Denise & Corey’s love for the finer things led them to marry in Ireland. Beauty, history, culture, good food, a stunning bride and a groom in a kilt! What more could you want for your destination wedding on the West Coast of Ireland?
Following the route of the Wild Atlantic Way, the only choice for them was Killarney’s Cahernane House Hotel. Situated on a private estate of Killarney’s famous National Park, surrounded only by natural beauty, it feels as if you are in another world.
“The beauty of the West Coast of Ireland drew us out of the US for our wedding. We wanted a destination that had natural beauty, history, culture and wonderful food”.
Autumn in Ireland brings a combination of colours and early Autumn is particularly glorious. Being prepared for the ‘soft’ weather was a bonus and taking some time to wander through the National Park after the ceremony, visiting Ross Castle, Muckross Abbey and other historic locations.
“We found Killarney was central to all that we were looking for and the Cahernane House Hotel would be a wonderful home base. The grounds and close proximity to many photographic backgrounds made it ideal for a wedding. We chose wedding clothes that were light and easy to pack, my dress was rolled up in tissue paper with my husbands kilt and tucked in his backpack for the plane ride. I just hung it in the bathroom and the shower took care of the rest. We have such wonderful memories of our wedding and honeymoon and are so fortunate that we have the most amazing photographs to pour over while we re live the moments. The Woodards captured the day with beauty and style rarely seen back home. Our photos are works of art that we would admire regardless of the couple at the centre”.
