Flying From Doha For Their Beautiful Irish Wedding
Anytime a Jenny Packham gown is involved in a wedding, sparkling details tend to follow. Denise & Keith travelled from Doha to Sheen Falls for their wedding in Ireland. A destination Christmas wedding at the intimate setting along the Wild Atlantic Way.
Arranging the day without hiring the assistance of a wedding consultant didn’t phase this couple, who are based in the city of Doha, Qatar. Careful planning and decisions by this gorgeous couple, have left us all at WCWI wanting to cosy up with a hot chocolate as we re-live their day.
As they choose an indoor ceremony at Sheen Falls, outdoor conditions for their irish wedding in December was not of their list of priorities. Allowing them to select a time that suited them best. With so many facilities ad activities on the grounds of the Sheen Falls, all their guests enjoyed the lead up to a cosy gathering.
Some words from Denise ;
“Our day was magical from start to finish..
We thought trying to plan a wedding from abroad would be a challenge without the help of a wedding planner but when you have staff and management as professional as those at Sheen Falls, it really wasn’t the headache we expected it to be.
I would say 80% of the organising was done online..we were lucky that we chose excellent suppliers who were great with their correspondence ( very important to ensure the stress levels stay down!!) and delivered exactly as promised on the day.
We used Audrey’s Weddings Co. Limerick for the flowers, chairs and some additional decor for the venue.
The very talented Carol O’Dwyer of Magpie and Moon made my stunning brooch bouquet.
We opted for an actual ‘cheese cake’ for our wedding cake, which was delivered the day before by Gubeen Greens Cork.
My beautiful Jenny Packham Gown was compliments of Sharon Hoey in Dublin..
The wonderful Woodard Photographers from Co. Kerry captured out day exactly as it was – perfect.Would I do it all over again? Plan a wedding from a million miles away? Absolutely! I think it actually might be a blessing in disguise having to delegate and allow other people (venue staff, family and friends) pull their weight and take some of the stress and pressure from you, the Bride and Groom. You just can’t be afraid to hand over some control..once you allow yourself to do this, it’s champagne and lollipops all the way to the alter ! “
