Today’s Fashion Friday BLOG is dedicated to Beautiful and Elegant Lace (And Lots Of It).
When I think of lace I imagine Grace Kelly. Graceful in both name and lifestyle, she had every sign of regal and timeless beauty. Her wedding dress is one of the most famous wedding dresses of all time. The high necked, long train and lace veil became iconic. A trend that would continue in a shape or form for the next 50 years.
Two of my favourite Kate’s also wore lace, The Classic Kate Middleton and The Iconic Kate Moss. The classic and elegant design by Sarah Burton was a hit, bringing sleeves into fashion again. For some lace may be ‘old-fashioned’ but done correctly it is beautiful. Paired with a matching train or veil, your dress will make an amazing impact! The Duchess of Cambridge looked amazing on her wedding day and we are still seeing the classic trend in today’s brides.
Kate Moss’ dress was designed by John Galliano, and it was a bohemian brides dream! The delicate and sheer lace details renewed our love for romantic, fairytale style wedding dresses again. Her veil was of 1920’s style but felt modern and fun with Spanish lace borders and sewn in pearls and crystals.
Although wedding dress style, just like everything comes in waves, lace is here to stay! We love these images of our Brides and their beautiful lace gowns-
